This annual salary calculator turns your hourly, daily, weekly or monthly rate into its gross annual equivalent, based on your schedule and vacation days.
From your rate to an annual salary
When you’re paid by the hour or by the day, it’s hard to picture what that adds up to over a year. This calculator annualizes your rate accounting for your schedule and vacation days, and also shows the monthly, weekly, daily and hourly equivalents.
Example: €16/hour
At €16 an hour, working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, with 22 vacation days (about 1,904 hours a year), the equivalent gross annual salary is €30,464 (around €2,538.67 a month).
For guidance only — gross amounts, based on the schedule you enter. Not financial advice.
FAQ
How do you go from an hourly rate to an annual salary?
Multiply the hourly rate by the hours you work in a year: working days (days per week × 52 minus your vacation days) times hours per day. If you enter a daily, weekly or monthly rate, it's annualized the same way.
Is the result gross or net?
Gross — before income tax and social security. To see what you'd take home, run the result through a net salary calculator.
Why does vacation time affect the total?
If you're paid by the hour or day, you only earn when you work, so more time off lowers the annual equivalent. If you're paid monthly, vacation doesn't change the yearly total since you're paid for all 12 months regardless.
Is this the reverse of the hourly wage calculator?
Exactly. This tool goes from a rate to an annual salary; the hourly wage calculator does the opposite, turning an annual salary into what your hour is worth.
